About the Farm

Purple Gate Haskap Orchard

Locally grown Canadian superfruit, loaded with antioxidents and nutrients. Known to have 3x the antioxidents of a blueberry. The berry has tangy and sweet components. Haskap grows wild, relatively unknown, throughout Canada. Japan has known of the wonders of Haskap for centuries; calling the berry the “little gift at the end of the branch.” Haskaps thrive in Alberta’s climate and are no stranger to cold weather. This makes our berries tart and juicy, with a nice sweet finish.
